Within an hour of Moncton, you can visit not one, but two national parks. At Kouchibouguac National Park, you can take in sand dunes, lagoons, salt marshes and forests. The park provides habitat for seabirds, including the second largest colony of the endangered Piping Plover, as well as colonies of harbour and grey seals.
