Northwest Cove, on the Aspotogan Peninsula (often called the Blandford Peninsula). Thanks to jshadford for the ID. The Aspotogan Peninsula is a peninsula in the eastern part of Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. It protrudes from the South Shore into the Atlantic Ocean and separates St. Margarets Bay in the east from Mahone Bay in the west; the Aspotogan Peninsula is connected to the much larger Nova Scotia peninsula to the north. Seafood Store (20070806-133236-PJG)

While on my walk at Fisherman's Cove in Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, Canada, I came across this bright red, but quaint store selling fresh seafood. Looking at all the artistic qualities of the signs had me shaking my head, until I saw the store's name, and then I could hardly take the picture from my laughing. The sign is shown below as the first comment. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Please view Large On Black for greater detail. ------------------- Thank you to…

Sunset Reflections - EXPLORED Feb 9/07

Explored February 9, 2007 #465 Peggy's Cove, Nova Scotia may be one of the most photographed places in the world, but that didn't stop me from taking this rich sunset shot. I think the boat's prow was set up to attract gullible tourists, with cameras. Like me. September 2005. This, by the way, is an untouched photo. When shooting God's light, I prefer to shoot and show exactly what existed. Here is another of my popular sunset photos taken in Princeville, Hawaii…

DGJ_5652 - Brier Island Lighthouse

PLEASE, no multi invitations (none is better) in your comments. Thanks for all your wonderful comments and visits. Brier Island is frequently inundated by fog and has witnessed 57 recorded shipwrecks. The first lighthouse was wooden structure and the first lighthouse on SW coast of Nova Scotia. In 1818 it was described as "so vilely constructed and ill lighted" it was a hazard. By 1832 it had been rebuilt, due to inefficiency. This light was an octagonal wood tower with a metal…
