Located on the Bonavista Peninsula, on Newfoundland's east coast is Dungeon Provincial Park. There is a small trail that runs from the road through a large pasture (watch your step) to the sheer cliffs that line the shores of the Bonavista Bay. The rugged shoreline features many sea stacks, sea caves, whales, icebergs, and a great view of the lighthouse at Cape Bonavista. But, the most intriguing feature of this park is a large crater in the ground with two adjacent sea caves, that…

The Tablelands, a barren reddish brown plateau that towers seven hundred metres above the Atlantic Ocean, stands alone as an alien landscape amongst the lush and hilly forests that encompasses it. Found between the towns of Trout River and Woody Point in south west of Gros Morne National Park, it was here that geologists proved the theory of plate tectonics.

Hiking the Chikanishing Trail in Killarney Provincial Park, Ontario. Ontario Camping, Ontario Travel, Ontario Provincial Parks, America City, North America, Ontario Parks, Great Lakes Region, Canadian Travel, Newfoundland And Labrador

Killarney Provincial Park is one of Ontario's most popular wilderness destinations. The origins of the park is owed to the conservation effects of The Group of Seven. They were a group of Canadian landscape painters in the 1920's, who petitioned the Ontario Provincial government to have the area preserved, to protect all of their magnificent landscapes from logging. How could you not want to explore the unique and rugged scenery, that a group of Canadian artists fought so hard to…

When researching places to visit in Newfoundland, I came across an article about an abandoned amusement park called, the Trinity Loop. After reading the article and viewing their photographs, I knew I had to see it with my own eyes. The Trinity Loop is a great place to visit when you are in the Trinity area. It is a quick drive from town, there is lots to explore, spooky photo opportunities, old train cars and it may even give you the heebie geebies with its ghost town feel.
