Saanich resident Bernard Rogers built the real thing: Fable Cottage on the waterfront of Cordova Bay. Does anyone remember playing to the "Barn on Blanshard"? Victoria Memorial Arena was built in 1949 and demolished in 2003 due to aging and being outdated. The replacement, Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre, now occupies the site.
