My dad sailed with the Canadian Navy during WWII. As the youngest of 8 kids, he never really got to know his oldest brother Charles who was killed at Ypres, Belgium a year before the end of WWI. Charles's death affected the whole family and so we have always been thankful not just of his sacrifice, but of the thousands of men and women in both World Wars who never made it home to the loving arms of family. I created this Board as a tribute to Uncle Charles and to my Dad, Joe.
