Easy salt tray.... a pencil box

literacy center sight word activities- put the sand in a pencil box for easy upkeep and clean up! NOTE: this only works with a thin layer of sand. If you put too much the writing doesn't show up. It went over okay with my kids, not their favorite

The Letter Box: cut out letters from food boxes before recycling them. WORD WORK

Have kids find letters or go on a "letter hunt" in kid magazines/ cereal boxes and cut out. Keep letters in a "Letter Box". Let kids arrange letters into words.
