Interactive activities for A Day to Remember

A Day to Remember. Anzac Day is the day when we remember and honour ANZAC traditions down the ages, from the first faltering march of wounded veterans in 1916 to the ever-increasing numbers of their descendants who march today.

Each year, as the dawn breaks on the 25th April - millions of people across New Zealand and Australia (and wherever they are) commemorate our fallen soldiers, the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) who fought in Gallipoli. We commemorate our soldiers who fought in all the wars since then on this day also, one of the few times when Kiwis and Australians are as one and not competing against each other. Lest we forget... In Flanders Fields by John McCrae (May 1915)
