Moose Stew – A first choice for a hearty dinner to appease the appetite
Moose Stew - 1-2 lb moose round steak cut into 1" cubes [remove all fat, bones, silver skin from round steak to reduce wild game taste], 6 cloves garlic, 6 carrots, 1 med turnip, 8 med Russet potatoes, 1 c frozen peas, 1 large onion, 3 c beef broth, 1 c red wine, 1/2 c flour, 3 bay leaves, 3 T olive oil, 1 c water - This recipe gives stove top instructions. Can also use a slow cooker. Add all ingredients, cook low 7 hr or high 3 1/2.
