PIGMENT COATED LEATHER A Top Grain leather that has generally been buffed to mask imperfections in the hide. It is usually aniline dyed but it is then given a coat of pigment and finally a clear coat finish to make it longer lasting. The grain pattern is printed or embossed into the pigment/ finish. This leather needs to be kept very clean to avoid damage to the finish & dye transfer from clothing & it should be treated with LTT Ultra Leather Protect & maintenance cleaned with Lazy Leather

FULL ANILINE LEATHER The most natural of all leather and the best quality. Full grain leather with nothing done to the surface. Takes its colour from dyes which colour all the way through. Will scratch easily and absorb moisture very quickly therefore it is vital that the leather is protected - try LTT Aniline LeatherGuard and clean with LTT Aniline Cleaner. Do not use foam cleaners or household cleaners of any sort

Semi-Aniline Leather has the natural animal hide showing through but it has been coated in a clear coating to protect the leather. You must dust the leather on a weekly basis with a damp cloth to remove dirt. If you spill something, you must use a damp cloth to remove the excess. You can also buy a Semi-Aniline Protection cream to add extra protection but you must test it before you use it.

Aniline Leather is the most natural and tactile leather as the animal hide shows through. It is very soft with no pigmented coating meaning it can be stained easily. You must dust the furniture weekly with a soft cloth. If the furniture is stained, use a damp cloth to dab any excess but do not use any cleaning products. An Aniline Leather protection cream can be used to reduce scratches and stains, but do read the instructions before hand.
