Ashley Wentz is our Goodyear member of the week. Ashely shared her story with us: "I wanted to start boxing as a means to release some anger and aggression while going through a divorce. My friend and I had tried another boxing establishment but didn't feel like it was the right place for us. When we arrived at Knockout we felt right at home from the moment we walked in. I've learned so much about boxing and kickboxing while pushing myself physically.
The Gilbert member of the week should really be member of the year. Tanya Owen has done such an amazing job with her fitness goals after she suffered a stroke 6 months ago. Her entire left side was paralyzed and she was told she wouldn't be able to do boxing or really any type of fitness regimen. She did boot camps in the past and other gyms.
Paradise Valley member of the week is Kadeem Tillett. He has been a part of the Knockout family since July and his main reason for joining was to change up his lifestyle and find a way to have fun while doing it. In the two months since joining, he has seen a HUGE improvement in his cardio health, because one of his other favorite things to do is play basketball. He has noticed that he can run up and down the court without getting tired like before.
Surprise member of the week is Christopher Rivera. He is a 23 year old dedicated individual who comes in five times a week. With his hard work and great effort he has already lost 7 pounds in the 3 weeks he has been a member. His ideal weight is 205 by December which leaves him with 38 pounds to go. He knows it won't be easy, but he has the commitment and dedication to achieve his goal weight for his wedding coming up in early 2016. Great job Chris and keep up the good work!!
Paradise Valley member of the week is Chrystal Wolff. This young lady has been a part of the Knockout family since March and she comes in with her friend, Andrea Skinner, at least 3 to 5 days a week and sometimes on the weekends. Her main goal for joining Knockout was to live a healthy lifestyle and to stay active and get in the best shape so she can have the energy to get her through her busy day!
Nancy Garcia is our Goodyear member of the week. Nancy shares with us: "Before Knockout I was going to a gym working out alone. I would walk in, stay for 15 minutes, then walk out feeling like I was never going to get any results. I work graveyard shift so it's hard for me to find any motivation to go to the gym in the morning after work.
We have the great pleasure of introducing one of our newest members who has gotten phenomenal results. Jennifer Heenan has been with our Gilbert club for just about 2 months and does 4 classes a week. She loves the classes but loves even more that she has already lost a grand total of 32 pounds!!!! Jennifer's ultimate goal is to lose 80lbs and she's off to her best start ever. She's been trying to lose it for about 6 years now. She has 3 boys that always keep her on her toes.
Paradise Valley member of the week is Melissa Sides. She has been a part of the Knockout family for 2 months. Melissa is a single mom who is not using the excuse of "I have no time to exercise". Melissa finds a way to get to the gym at least 3 to 4 days a week and that is on top of working a full day!!
Josh Thompson is our Goodyear Member of the Week! Josh's story is as follows: It was early 2014. I was tired of bring picked on and bullied for being fat. I decided it would be best to start doing push ups and sit ups every night or two, but it did me no good. Summer 2014, I thought it'd be an effort to get up every morning and run with a good friend who lived in my neighborhood, but the running didn't last long.
Surprise member of the week is Danielle Earle. She has been a member for over one year now and she originally joined just to try something new and different from what she had done before. What grabbed her attention the most was the boxing and kickboxing classes. Since joining, she has lost 18 pounds, gained muscle mass and most importantly her energy and endurance have skyrocketed and that is what keeps her coming back!
Paradise Valley member of the week is Izzy Perez. She and her mom have been a part of the Knockout family since February. She is a senior at Paradise Valley High School and she always finds a way to come in to the gym at least 3-5 days a week. Her favorite instructor is Tim because he does not let her give up in the the class and she feels so much better after her workout.
Surprise Member of the week Amanda Hill started 2 months ago. She was a teacher for 17 years and had to leave her job for medical leave due to Lupus. She wanted to do positive things to get healthy so she started bringing her kids, ages 10 and 11, into Knockout too so they could all three do the classes together. The classes are helping build confidence in her and her kids, she is feeling stronger and learning more through working with our trainer, Anthony, and going to classes regularly.
Norma Chávez is our Goodyear member of the week her story is: "I love working out at Knockout! I have been a member for almost four years and I look forward to working out everyday. I enjoy sparring with members, and taking classes because they are very motivating and the instructors at Knockout are awesome! I have most recently started lifting weights and I feel stronger everyday. Knockout is a great place to work out and have fun." Thanks for being a loyal member, Norma!
Amiee Barber is a 35 year old woman who is a busy mom and has her own photography business called "Aimee Sugar". When she isn't working on photo shoots or rushing the kids to school, she is in our Gilbert facility training. When she first came into our doors she was skeptical about this type of training because she has always struggled with her fitness goals.
Paradise Valley member of the week is Jessi Koeppen. This young lady has been a part of the knockout family for almost 11 months. She originally started out in our Gilbert club but has relocated to our place and is loving it! She is a full time student at ASU and also works part time and she still manages her time to come in to work out at least 4 days a week.
