The 18,600 acres of land expropriated for an airport in 1972 stand today as an oasis in the midst of urban sprawl. Land Over Landings’ mission is to ensure that this irreplaceable farmland will be protected in perpetuity from non-agricultural development, so that its produce can be used to feed Canada's largest urban population.
