Cheryl's double sided Purple Heart straight holder. A perfect size at 5" long with 3/8" diameter grip section. Both nib inserts fit into epoxied brass tubes to safeguard wood fibers from moisture and provide ease of repair should the insert need replacing. The finish is multiple layer of micro polished acrylic buffed with carnauba wax.
Jane's double sided straight oblique practice pen is the Walnut pen on the left side. This pen is intended as a trial pen for Jane to determine if the shape and size are correct. If an area is too thin electrical tape can be wrapped around the pen to increase diameter. If an area is too thick a piece of masking tape can be used as a reference point for diameter reduction prior to milling the real pen. The next step is to cut the flange slot.
