Princess Margaret In East Africa
Princess Margaret carried out a tour of the British Colonies in East Africa during September and October, 1956 to carry out various engagements. The provisional program announced before her departure included visits to Mauritius, Zanzibar, Tanganyika and Kenya. Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon (1930 – 2002) was the younger sister of Queen Elizabeth II and the younger daughter of King George VI and his wife Queen Elizabeth.
