Arras - In Mexico the groom gives his bride 13 coins or "arras". These coins represent Christ and 12 apostles, or the 12 months that the groom will provide for the bride with the 13th representing providing to church or charity. A Priest blesses the coins. They mean that the groom will take care of bride.
Beautiful shot of Las Arras ceremony: The symbolism of the 13 gold coins in this ceremony is that the groom recognizes his responsibility as a provider, and pledges his ability to support and care for his wife. Acceptance by the bride means taking that trust and confidence unconditionally with total dedication and prudence.
