Habit 1️⃣
In order to grow and look toned, muscle needs to be challenged by progressively overloading it with weights. Although I had done a bit of weight training before, I had never used more than 4kg. 

I started off lifting light, gradually increasing the weight over time. Never moving up a weight until I was ready and always making sure my technique was not compromised.

Habit 2️⃣
To complement my weight training I needed to eat more protein. Protein is essential when building and maintaining muscle so I started to eat this at every meal.

That being said, I do hope you read this caption! Here’s some important things I want you to take away from this post:

1. You cannot “tone or tighten” a muscle. You can grow a muscle and lose body fat which in the end will give you the desired look of “toned and tightened”. Unfortunately, using catching phrases like this does get more traction so if I can use that to my advantage to teach and help you guys, so be it! 😊

2. No workout itself can lean you out. Make sure that whatever workout program you’re doing, you have a diet that aligns with those goals. You can’t outwork your diet.
