We had quite a bit of excitement over the weekend. Our lab, Allie, couldn't keep anything down Friday night so we took her to our vet who referred us to an emergency vet. They found she had a blocked intestine and had to operate in order to push what turned out to be a corn cob the rest of the way thru. She must have somehow got into composter, which has since been relocated well out of the dogs' range. Allie is doing well although she is now stuck wearing the cone of shame...Poor Allie…
Here's our Bouvier, Miss Basha, swimming. Yes, this is how she likes to swim...in other words, she doesn't. She drops like a rock because she won't move her hind legs AT ALL. So she wears a life jacket and she gets in her raft. Too funny! (You'll meet a Bouvier in #AboutAVampire so this will give you an idea of what they look like...Well, minus the ridiculous life jacket of course.)
Found this when I was out getting some wine for New Years Eve.
We have a fair amount of wildlife in the area and with the colder winter weather we've been getting we've noticed a lot of birds taking advantage of our bird feeders. In just one day we saw at least a half a dozen pairs of cardinals along with blue jays, a morning dove or two, and many others that I haven't been able to identify yet. It's nice seeing the morning rush hour at the feeder! #wickedwildlife
