Montreal store in Square Phillips, 1907.  The store was extended and restored that year. With 18,000 square feet, it is the largest commercial space in the world on a single floor! They used to say that the store was a wonderland of modernism with its electrical and heating systems, not to mention the beauty of its ornate architecture.
