canon beach panorama storm - This was a really bad bad weather day. Walking with the wind at my back my entire back was drenched within minutes. Its like i was out for a swim. I had to be really careful to point the camera away from the wind and bad weather and even then condensation froze the controls. ..so here is the bad weather panorama I shot at Cannon Beach, Oregon complete with a stream running through my feet.
pacific ocean night waves - I shoot what I see. I was at Florence, Oregon, and scrambled down and shot these beautiful waves with a long lens. I love the night colours. I had to scramble down large sand dunes to get here but it was worth it!
oregon coast waves at sunset - Peoeple sometimes think i take unnecessary risks but I'm not foolish. This is by Thor's Well where the water gets sucked into a deep cavity and spit back out and people who get too close have been killed. You can still see photographers near the waves standing there in this shot. Here there were two gaps where waves came in and crashed against the shore and rocks so I timed two waves coming in at the same time. yup this took a while to have simultaneous waves…
multnomah falls sunset - This was crazy weather. Sunny, rainy, too, hot, too cold. I liked the fall colours at multnomah falls at sunset after hiking striaght up by the falls and hiking back down..
ambleside beach at harmony arts - I was exhibiting my art at an art show -Harmony Arts and decided to wander around to get some air. The sunset was great and this was a nice isolated section of beach half a mile down the walkway so I decided to stop and photograph for a while.
sea stacks long exposure - Rialto Beach has some wonderful sea stacks. I wanted to hike out on the sand several km's the other other side with more sea stacks but the tide was coming in and i did not want to get stranded...safety first. This means I must go back when I have more time to hike out at low tide and come back before the tide comes in.
sunset and ocean storm - In was pouring rain a deluge in fact and I could see the sun in the distance so like any self respecting photographer i hop in the car and storm chase. By the time I got to the ocean the sun was trying to come out and yet lightening was flashing all around so here is what I shot.
