A water colour illustration of the Spirit of a Mountain Ash/ Rowan tree. In the autumn the birds flock to the rowan. It holds it's berries well into the cold and it is not uncommon to find the birds nearly drunk on the lat of the summer berries. A rowan twig is also often used as a protection against unwanted faerie visitations.
