Lake Bonavista Village was lucky to have Midnight Taiko entertain us with Japanese Drumming on Tuesday, May 16th. Many of our residents joined in the fun and showed us their drumming skills! We look forward to Midnight Taiko's next visit! Watch the video here https://youtu.be/quqRIDYmXrE
The King was in our midst! Bruce Andrew Stewart, award-winning Elvis tribute artist, had us swooning with his silky voice and smooth moves. With him was his talented fiancee Blaze, who made us feel like we were watching Elvis and Ann Margaret together again. We can't wait to have them back at Lake Bonavista Village!
Watch out for dinosaurs! And I'm not talking about our residents! Drumheller is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Calgary and is a guaranteed good time for all. With the Hoodoos, an amazing dinosaur museum, and delicious dining experiences, it's one of our favourites!
A bonus to living so close to the mountains in Southern Alberta is that we can head up to Chateau Lake Louise for lunch and be back in time for dinner! We had a beautiful time enjoying delicious food while staring out at the pristine lake, and we can't for our next exciting adventure!
One of our long-time residents, who has been with us almost since Lake Bonavista Village began, just celebrated the big 9-7 this week! To celebrate, our amazing chef Daniela and Dining Room Supervisor Lucy created this beautiful meal for Jack and his family. To start, they had a pickled watermelon, radish, fig, prosciutto and brie salad, and as per the birthday boy's request!
Things got a little hairy at Lake Bonavista Village this weekend! St. John's Ambulance brought by their 8 year old Newfoundland volunteer dog Callie (short for 'Calendar Girl') for some pets and cuddles. What a darling!
The residents of Lake Bonavista Village have jumped into the Walking Program with both feet! We're walking our way to better health while enjoying the beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery in our community.
