our vision for your outdoor living spaces is limited only by your imagination. Fully utilizing the sometimes confined spaces on a cottage property takes planning. The design for this project used a tiered patio system to effectively make the most of the rough terrain from the cottage to the lake.
Often the local Muskoka Landscape can be a challenge to work around. This project utilized 3" oversized flagstone combined with natural faced granite treads to make the most of a challenging work site. When working on a site with bedrock just inchescalibration of Muskoka Rock Company's granite flagstone and stair treads made this project a home run.
A calibrated 7" rise of Rosseau Quarry granite stone treads were used to twist this pathway down through the existing natural landscape. Random stair treads from Muskoka Rock Company are often deeper from front to back. This allows the installer to easily turn the direction of the feature allowing for a more functional and natural finished product.
A beautifully flowing granite staircase with a calibrated seven inch tread rise lifts you effortlessly from the rocky shores of this year round Georgian Bay cottage. Though recently installed, the natural faced granite treads, mossy boulders and flamed softened stone edges give the impression that the steps have been there for years. Large Luxury Cottage Located on Bigwin Island, Lake of Bays, Ontario, Canada.
This Lake Muskoka staircase utilized sawn all sides Rosseau granite stair treads as a descent from an upper patio area down to dock level. The tread were sawn to size on all six sides at the Muskoka Rock Company plant. They were then flame textured for a precise yet natural finish. The installation of dimensional sawn treads is greatly expedited, as no cutting is required on site.
