Tulip Table Oval - Carrara
The Tulip Table series is a premium reproduction line inspired by Finnish and American mid-century architecture, a period vastly characterised by the simplification of everyday living. Smooth marble sits atop a glossy white base for a sophisticated profile that is instantly recognizable. The unique single pedestal base is made from strong cast aluminum to support a heavy marble top whilst eliminating the unnecessary clutter of legs underneath.
Modern Classics: Eero Saarinen’s Tulip Table
Finnish-American architect and designer Eero Saarinen contributed much to our design lexicon, though he is perhaps best remembered for one item in particular: the Pedestal, or Tulip, table. An undeniable classic, this simple, sweeping table looks as good today as it did in 1956.Designed for Knoll, the collection also includes armchairs, stools, and coffee and side tables, though it’s the minimal, slightly space-age dining table which has stolen our collective hearts.
