Country Bumpkin! A spiced Fall ale made from a combination of local pumpkin, butternut, acorn and hubbard squash, all roasted in house. The caramelizing of the squash adds both body and depth of flavour, while the seasonal spicing compliments and lends a balancing component. Medium bodied, with a slightly drying and clean finish. Can’t get any fresher if you were face down in the strawberry rhubarb patch! This light, thirst quenching summer ale perfectly balances the sweetness of local strawberries with the tart character of rhubarb. The specialty yeast adds a slight biscuity, pie crust to round it all out. Medium carbonation, with a dry finish. Only available at Niagara Oast House Brewers.

With a brilliant red hue, this classic take on the German Berliner Weisse style is brewed with fresh Niagara cherries. Its tremendous puckering character derives from the process of adding lactobacillus to the mash and allowing it to sour naturally. After a slight touch of sweetness up front it finishes sour, crisp and clean. Only available at Niagara Oast House Brewers.

This version of a West Coast IPA entails a rich golden colour with slight haze. Bright fruit hop characteristics sync beautifully with addition of ripe Niagara apricots. Clean finish, with some lingering hop bitterness. Only available at Niagara Oast House Brewers.

August in a pint glass! Fairly hazy, slightly filtered hefeweizen with juicy Niagara peach prominent. However, the depth of this beer is quick to follow with layers of sweet vanilla and toastiness from the oak. Medium bodied, with a slightly sweet finish. We made our verjus from Pinot Noir grapes and blended it with a fairly neutral base in order to let the unique vinous aromas and flavours of the verjus shine. This style creates a naturally sour beer with characteristics of wine grapes, tart green apples, bell pepper, grass and jalepeno. Only available at Niagara Oast House Brewers.

A wet-hopped IPA using a variety of hops grown within 5 km of the brewery and picked at the peak of ripeness. All hops are added within 12 hours of their harvest. The beer contains a light amber colour with elements of earthy hops, pine and underlying citrus. It finishes with a pleasant malt sweetness balanced by the bitterness of the hops. Deep, dark brown in colour. A complex malt profile of vanilla, burnt sugar and dates blends perfectly with the earthiness & nuttiness of the toasted walnuts. Opaque black stout with a tan tinted head and excellent retention. This big, chewy Russian Imperial Stout is fermented with dark plums that have been deliberately left in cold storage for a period of time to oxidize and gain natural complexities. Post fermentation it is then barrel aged for several months to further concentrate.

R.R. #11 –Eisbock w/ Icewine Grapes – Niagara Oast House Brewers – Craft Brewery in Niagara-on-the-Lake

A traditional strong Eisbock made from moving beer outside in extreme cold conditions (-20 C) to naturally freeze. Once the majority of water has formed into ice, the remaining unfrozen beer is pulled out, having been both concentrated in flavour and alcohol. An intense dark fruit malt character with warm mouthfeel comes to the forefront, however it is softened by the sweetness and flavour of the icewine skins

Golden colour, with a white head and slight haze. The fresh Northern Spruce is dominant here, but consistent with the character of selected hops. The spruce adds a piney, resinous quality with some additional notes of citrus and eucalyptus. Crisp bitterness and clean, minty finish. Only available at Niagara Oast House Brewers.
