These urns are twice turned. All the timber used is sourced from tree surgeons and firewood merchants, most of which would be burned or chipped. Each piece is cut to size then roughed out to shape inside and out and left to dry for up to six months. Once dry they are returned to the lathe and finished with either multiple coats eco-friendly hardwax oil or lacquer. A threaded ring is inserted into the neck and a separate threaded lid is created. Each one is totally unique piece of functional art.
