Sound it out parking lot with matchbox cars with a letter on each one. Instead of matchbox cars can use anything, even a paper with a letter on each one and slide into parking space as say each sound. A great way to introduce your child to blending sounds!

Teach Letter Sounds to Your Child Using Montessori Principles
Lots of Montessori phonics resources plus video to help parents teach letter sounds to their children at home. Video tells how to pronounce each letter sound, gives a suggested order for teaching letters, and includes a simple phonics game for toddlers!
This post is about a variation of a traditional Montessori phonics activity. It uses Montessori sandpaper letters but is more about small objects, vocabulary, and hearing the beginning sound of each object.
Encourages visual memory, copying, direction planning and movement. Can grade the activity by only having the colors needed or having the child pick the colors out of a bin of numerous legos of different, shapes, sizes and colors.
