Charles Darwin  Westminister Abbey

Not far from Sir Isaac Newton’s grave is the tomb of Darwin, the visionary behind the modern theory of natural selection.

Established in late 16th or the beginning of 17th century and functioned till 1942, when it was destroyed by the Nazi ocupants. The tombstones were used to strenghten streets and backyards in town. In 1986-1990 Charles Schreiber and Schorer's family restored the area and regained about 100 tombstones, which were built into the wall surrounding the cemetery. The oldest one dates to 1745.

Really unobtrusive are the graves of Grimm, Jacob Ludwig Carl and Wilhelm Carl with the byname Brothers Grimm. German brothers famous for their classic collections of folk songs and folktales, especially for Kinder- und Hausmärchen (1812–22; generally known as Grimm's Fairy Tales), which led to the birth of the science of folklore.
