I love this classroom environment. The tables allow for collaboration with other student. The bridge in the room promotes exploration and imagination. The bridge can be used for many things. They can build a fort or pretend its a castle. And the overall environment of the classroom is very calming. And the giant windows allow for natural light in the classroom.

This is a very well-put together classroom idea. The tables allow for collaboration with other student. The overall environment of the classroom is very calming. The giant windows allow for natural light in the classroom.

Construction area includes Hi Vis vests, meter sticks, tape measures, clip boards, calculators and all construction resources are available for children to choose from.

I chose this picture because I think having a construction area is important and fun, and this one includes pictures of the students. The pictures create a sense of community and a feeling of belonging.

Pre-K Tweets: 2014 Spring Room Tour! Reading area...

Welcome to my pre-k classroom tour! Classroom spaces and and arrangements are so very important and especially in the early childhood.

Reggio. Preschool age children were curious about their heights. Teachers measured them then taught them how to measure a piece of yarn to match their height. Here is the finished height chart, complete with names and self portraits by the pre-k children. Growth Growing Height Chart Compare Contrast Math

We did this in the preschool I work in and the children literally stared at it all time. I knew I had to have one in my classroom!

Reggio Emilia inspired classroom

The bits I most remember about my school days are those that took place outside the classroom, as we were taken on countless theatre visits and trips to places of interest.
