Berlin, Air-Field Johannisthal, 1913 Opened in September the air-field Johannisthal was the second air-field in germany. Its civil use stopped in when the Tempelhof air-field was opened in central Berlin. It was totally unused since
Pan Am 727 landing at Berlin Tempelhoff airport. Pan Am operated its IGS (Inter-German Service) there from The airport ceased operations in 2008 in the process of establishing 'Schonfeld Airport' as the sole commercial airport in Berlin.
