Color Ferris Wheels - Artsonia Lesson Plan

Color Color Wheel Ferris Wheel Give students primary colors to mix and make secondary colors hue, primary color, color wheel, secondary color

Grade 5 Color Wheels, Cedar Creek: Anna2272's art on Artsonia Fifth graders used only red, yellow and blue tempera paint to mix the 12 colors on the color wheel. They folded a 12 x 18 white paper into 12 sections and mixed and painted each block. Once dry, they created a pattern and used that to cut out 12 of the same shape. They were then glued onto a nuetral background. This project reinforced color wheel order and gave them valuable mixing experience.

Black "gadget stamp" around the edge. Have kids bring in their own leaves to trace. Put them in the color wheel and put in veins with pastels.

Spot of Color: 2nd Grade Poppies in Perspective

remembrance day I am so impressed with this art teacher: Grade Poppies in Perspective

Sharpie and pastel chalk on grey paper. What a great simple quickie holiday lesson!

we heart art: stringing up the lights! A QUICK fill-in-the-gap lesson. I would use construction paper crayons and brighter paper.

Chalk Pastel Lolipops. I use this project to teach shading and value of a round object to my Art I students. This is so easy I'm sure it could be used for elementary as well.

Color It Like you MEAN it!: Shiny and Bright

As fifth grade finishes up their whimsical trees, we began a second project in our discussion of abstract art that goes along with our tree.
