I had this car as a toy when I was a kid. Later on I just thought it was a Formula 1 car but no it's a 1948 Bellytank Lakester. These belly tank racers were made from surplus belly fuel tanks from WWII aircraft.

This of course goes well with the designer’s idea of blending classic hot rod roadster feel with a modern day form language. With power-train coming from Mazda’s formula race car, this is going to be one awesome hotrod. More specifically, power comes from a Mazda Rotary Valve engine mated to a six-speed sequential transaxle transmission to transfer power to the tarmac.
