Diplocentrum recurvum [Synonym: Diplocentrum longifolium] . Found in southern India, and Sri Lanka as a miniature-sized, warm-growing, monopodial epiphyte with a short stem carrying a few, very narrowly-linear leaves, blooms in the fall and winter on an axillary, erect, long, sub-densely many-flowered inflorescence.
Orchid: Beclardia macrostachya - Found in Madagascar and the Mascarenes in coastal, lowland and humid, evergreen, montane forests at elevations of sea-level to 2000 meters as a medium-sized, hot to cool-growing epiphyte.
A Wild Calypso Orchid grows in heavily forested areas. The orchid is also know as the Fairy slipper or Venus's slipper. The species range of the calypso orchid is circumpolar. Found in the northern United States, Canada, Scandinavia, Russia & Japan.
