NASA Reveals Unprecedented Image of Deep Space

Hubble Ultra Deep Field 2014 - Astronomers using NASA's Hubble Space Telescope have assembled a comprehensive picture of the evolving universe — among the most colorful deep space images ever captured by the telescope. - Image Credit: NASA, ESA et al

The Majestic Messier-104 (M-104) Sombrero Galaxy; Hubble Space Telescope..... Halo? Halo.

The Majestic Messier ~ 104 Sombrero Galaxy Photo By: Hubble Space Telescope NASA. My favorite galaxy, just for the vastness of the view.

In the center of this image, taken with the Hubble Space Telescope, are two faint galaxies that seem to be smiling. In the case of this "happy face", the two eyes are the galaxies SDSSCGB 8842.3 and SDSSCGB 8842.4 - Image Credit: NASA and ESA - Image enhancement: Jean-Baptiste Faure

Smiley face This photo taken of the galaxy cluster SDSS by the Hubble Space Telescope appears to show a smiling face at the center. The two eyes are bright galaxies and the smile lines are arcs caused by an effect known as strong gravitational lensing.

clouds of interstellar gas and dust — the raw material for new star formation. The nebula, located light-years away in the constellation Carina, contains a central cluster of huge, hot stars, called NGC 3603

The Spiral Galaxy NGC 3627 - Located About 30 Million Light Years From Earth

NGC Revealing Hidden Black Holes The spiral galaxy NGC 3627 is located about 30 million light years from Earth. This composite image includes X-ray data from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory (blue), infrared data from the Spitzer Space Telescope (re

a polar ring galaxy 130 million light years away in Centaurus. Only 100 polar ring galaxies are known. Their unusual disk-ring structure is not yet fully understood. Credit: The Hubble Heritage Team.

Infrared view of the Pillars of Creation. Unlike in the visible-light view, this view shows newly born stars, forming from the gas and dust in this region of space. No wonder Sheldon is an astrophysicist on Big Bang Theory this is amazing stuff!

Goes High Def to Revisit the Iconic 'Pillars of Creation' This NASA Hubble Space Telescope image, taken in near-infrared light, transforms the pillars into eerie, wispy silhouettes, which are seen against a background of myriad stars.

Oh look, it's a wittle baby galaxy. This may be the youngest galaxy ever seen; an irregular dwarf galaxy about 45 million light-years away is seen in this image from NASA. NASA/ESA/A.

NGC 4258 ( M106)

Galactic Pyrotechnics on Display Anomalous arms are seen in this composite image of NGC 4258 from NASA's Chandra X-ray Observator, NSF's Karl Jansky Very Large Array, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope and Spitzer Space Telescope.
