2006 Col d'Orcia Brunello di Montalcino - an exceptional vintage for Brunello, this wine was approachable yet structured and complex. A great pairing for my Pici al Ragu while lunching in Montalcino.
2006 Chasseur Pinot Noir Russian River Valley. Beguiling nose of candied berry, toffee and an underlying mustiness. Typical of Russian River, the wine is rich and ripe, with flavors of licorice, raspberry, black cherry, cinnamon and cola, but it has a more delicate touch than many wines from the region. Very enjoyable - glad I waited a few years on this one.

2009 Donnafugata Sicilla Rosso Tancredi - Incredible wine from Sicily!
Hopes and Dreams in a bottle
2009 La Conreria d'Scala "Les Brugueres" - white Priorat made from Garnacha Blanca. Sings with apricots and white flowers, and maybe a touch of nutmeg. Intriguing wine with rich texture and a bit of heft. A huge hit with the family!
Remarkably balanced and elegant wine made by the friendliest and most charming family in Tuscany. This vintage showed off feminine aromas and a lovely texture.
