Picked rope Bologna, a "delicacy" in Appalachian states. These jars would sit on the counter at small town grocery stores and pieces would be cut. They were sold much like picked eggs, picked pigs feet, etc.

I can't explain...can't find the words to describe just how unappetizing this looks.  There's not an ingredient or garnish that redeems it.  The dog won't even bury this in the back yard.
