Army SGT Lyle D. Turnbull, 31, of Norfolk, Virginia. Died October 18, 2013, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 62nd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas. Died during a medical emergency at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The cause of death is under investigation. It was later reported on the battalion’s Facebook page that SGT Turnbull collapsed and died while participating in the Army Ten Miler Shadow Run.

My heart breaks! The Army is investigating the death of Sgt. Lyle D. Turnbull, 31, in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.  According to the Department of Defense, Turnbull died October 18 from a "medical emergency."  He was assigned to the 62nd Expeditionary Signal Battalion, 11th Signal Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas.
