Ended up making this, minus the white-frosted cupcakes. Instead I put it on a blue platter and poured mini marshmallows all around it for clouds. I baked it in an angel food cake pan, too, so it was actually bow-shaped. Huge success--easy for me, MAJOR hit with the birthday girl:).
