The power of breath is huge. Breathing can help to calm the mind and prepare the body for healthy sleep. Try the 4-7-8 breathing technique below for a week and see how that changes or modifies your sleeping experience. 1. Breathe out a whooshing sound as you exhale through your mouth. 2. Then inhale through your nose. Count to 4 in your head. 3. Hold your breath for 7 seconds. 4. Exhale (with a whoosh sound) for 8 seconds.
