Work History
Pizza Hut
I worked as the Senior Marketing Manager, Pizza Hut (Dine-In & Tuscani Pastas) for Yum! Restaurants International Canada from 2008 to 2010. I successfully launched two flavours and three format extensions for Tuscani Pastas via a national IMC campaign, and those new formats accounted for 65% of Tuscani national sales dollars post-launch. The TV ad I developed as part of launch (which was my first ever experience with TV) was awarded a coveted Yum! Reel Award by Pizza Hut’s Global CMO.
Starbucks
I worked at Starbucks Coffee Canada for four years, which was likely the start of my current caffeine addiction. I helped launched Starbucks Coffee into grocery stores, then ran all of the marketing for Canada for every division except their retail stores. (That would be Foodservice, Office Coffee, and Licensed Stores Business Development.) Fun Fact: I was not only a certified barista, but also a Black Apron Coffee Master!
Eat Well Menu
I led the development of Pizza Hut’s innovative Eat Well menu (i.e. first multigrain pizza crust, multigrain pasta, and 6 Health Check™ recipes) to address consumer trends around healthy eating, and launched it with an integrated marketing campaign. The Eat Well portfolio achieved target menu mix in just 3 months, and 80% of recipes remain available today!
NOS Energy Drink
I led the energy drink's partnership with UFC Champion Georges St-Pierre, and had the opportunity to connect with him on a few different occasions. (For the record, GSP is a terrific guy.) Fun-Fact: GSP taught me a very effective sleeper-hold during a training session we organized as part of a consumer contest. My sparring partner for the session? SportsCenter's Jay Onrait. :)
Hill Street Beverage Company (TSXV:BEER)
I was hired as the first Chief Marketing Officer for the Hill Street Beverage Company, a publicly-traded (TSXV: BEER) producer of alcohol-free and cannabis-infused wines and beers. I was responsible for brand strategy and development, integrated marketing communications, corporate communications, investor relations, cannabis strategy, and eCommerce (direct-to-consumer) business. Also, making sure we had photos that looked this good! :)
Simply Orange with Coconut Water - Suzie The Foodie
Simply Orange has come out with a “new product” by adding coconut water to their fresh orange juice. They sent me some coupons to try the product, as well as some fun brunch-making tools for me to try! My own monogrammed serving platter and knife! They included adorable bow tie glass charms for making my […]

What excites you most about the Chartered Marketer Program?
I'm recognized as a Chartered Marketer by the Canadian Marketing Association (CMA). Fun Fact: I was one of the first 100 people to earn this designation. Another fun fact: none of the people in this photo are me, although I worked with one of them and once interviewed with another.
Disruptive Innovation Online Course
I earned a certificate in Disruptive Strategy from Harvard Business School Online. This course was designed and taught by Harvard Professor Clayton Christensen (pictured), who literally wrote the book on disruptive innovation. (i.e. The Innovator's Dilemma, among others...)

When I'm Not at Work...
These are my amazing kids! Fun fact: my wife is a photographer, and this photo was taken in our home studio. (This is actually a photo of her computer screen as she was editing the final shots.) The hat wasn't planned... our little guy just refused to take it off! From left to right: Andrew, Chloë, Charlotte, and Aidan.

This is my youngest son, playing my piano. My parents got this for me when I was seven years old, and I've had it ever since. I don't play as often as I'd like, but at one point in time -- long, long ago -- I was pretty good, and actually earned a high-school credit for my Royal Conservatory of Music certifications. (i.e. Grade 8 Piano, Grade 2 Theory).
Bradford Strength | Bradford Strength + Conditioning
CrossFit is actually a family-affair for us... when my two oldest kids saw both their Daddy and Mama working out regularly, they decided to give it a try too. That's my eldest daughter in the blue sweatshirt, in a photo used to promote CrossFit Bradford's Kids Program. :)

I love coffee. And I drink a lot of it. (I have four kids, remember...) If you ever want to instantly get on my good side, just bring me a Quad-Venti, Non-Fat, Cinnamon-Dolce Latte with Whip. (In the Fall, swap out "Cinnamon Dolce" for "Pumpkin Spice", and during the Holidays, make it a "Caramel Brule".)
My wife and I have always been a little bit... different. We didn't want traditional photos for our wedding, so we made a few interesting stops. One of them was to the Starbucks where we first met. This one was at Nathan Phillips Square for a quick skate around the rink. (Let's recognize the fact that we were married in December, and yet my wife is outdoors without a jacket and bare shoulders for a great photo. #Trooper)
