Gallarus Oratory, Dingle, Ireland This was an old church built with no mortar just rocks. Amazingly when it rains, it stays dry inside! Fun fact, it was on the land that my great-grandmother grew up on :)
Kilfenora, County Galway, the 'city of the crosses', was a large Irish medieval monastic establishment founded in the sixth century. The round tower is found throughout Ireland and was built for defensive purposes, in the event of invading Vikings.
