Perhaps more than any other city abroad, Paris still glows with the rich history of Americans who went there to realize their artistic talents: novelists and painters, journalists and photographers, jazz musicians and poets. They worked in Left Bank cafés and garret studios, and they dressed in an expat style that combined American prep with French je ne sais quoi.
This Polo capsule collection pays homage to racing jerseys and jackets inspired by the Tour de France, and we put together a guide on how to show your love of one of the greatest endurance sports by pairing it with the unexpected

This version of our iconic Western shirt is generously cut from lightweight cotton denim and treated for a weathered look. At the interior, it features an archival "Denim & Supply" label.
One of our favorite looks is a pair of old, faded jeans paired with either a chambray or denim shirt in a close shade. Then all you need is a great belt, and either a white T-shirt or a Henley as a layering piece to break things up a little. You can also match dark denim pieces in the same way or create an interesting contrast by wearing dark (or even white) jeans, say, with a faded denim shirt.

Issue No.8: Winter Out West

Ralph has been inspired by the timelessness of uniforms since Polo’s beginning, as you can see from this limited selection of carefully curated pieces, sourced from the 1990s and 2010s.
A detailed look at a vintage-inspired graphic.

When we think of this time of year, home is what comes to mind: the comfort of family, the togetherness of celebration, the quiet and the calm of a moment when everyone you know—the world itself—feels like it’s on vacation. That’s the theme of this edition, and we hope you find it relaxing and rejuvenating.
Origin   Eggnog—it’s a tradition longer than memory can recall—or we have room to write. Suffice it to say that anything called a “nog” is, well, at least a few centuries old. The most important thing to keep in mind is what might have been eggnog’s forerunner—something called posset—definitely didn’t taste this good.
There’s nothing worse than facing a walk in the slush without a shoe made to keep your feet warm and dry. These practical, classic-inspired boots have been selected with the practical job of always being prepared in mind. They’re also a handsome nod to the different things we like to do outdoors—skiing and hiking, taking long walks in the woods, standing around a roaring outdoor fire.

Issue No. 5: Home for the Holidays

Authenticity is one of the true marks of style. Take a pair of simple chinos, named after the utilitarian cotton fabric they’re made from, and that range in color, from khaki to olive green. What dictates the way a chino is cut shouldn’t be the ankle-strangling trend of the moment but the purpose of the pant.
Q: Is the blue blazer still a great staple to have in your wardrobe?   A: Always and absolutely. The blue blazer is probably the most versatile sport coat you can own. Even worn in a traditional way—with a perfect pair of grey flannels, a spread-collar shirt, a knit tie, and snuff suede shoes—you might be surprised just how good it can make you look. But there’s so much more a blue blazer can do, especially if you use your imagination.
Woven with alpaca for softness, this ball cap’s plaid wool tweed fabric is sourced from a historic Irish mill.

Issue No.4: The Fall Refresh

25 Pins
mehow, it just wouldn’t feel like fall here at Polo without having a little big tweed in your wardrobe—crunchy wools in checks of cognac and camel or charcoal and grey that have been exploded this season in size to become statement pieces worth notice, whether as a suit, a vest, or even a down jacket. In addition to a mix of notes on other matters of style, we’ve also put together a special package of stories on the meaning of the necktie.
Tweed has heritage woven into it, but an oversize scale makes it feel modern and bold, polished yet sporty. Ralph has been developing unique tweed patterns with some of the oldest mills in the British Isles for almost four decades. The fabrics are exclusive to our collections—and distinctly Polo, if you know what to look for.

The Polo Gazette is an immersive chronicle—and newsletter—designed to take you into the extraordinary world of ideas and interests that inspire Polo’s vision of timeless style. As we explained in the first issue of The Polo Gazette, this season’s collection of Polo Originals is inspired by the golden age of car and motorcycle racing, which Ralph has imagined as a varied group of risk-takers fascinated with speed who had a style that was both tough and refined.
Fishermen in the Shetland Islands wore them first; the Duke of Windsor made a statement (and created a style scandal) in a Fair Isle sweater on the golf course; and Ralph has worn one in a way that acknowledges this humble yet noble heritage.
This sweater achieves its intricate Fair Isle pattern with 13 unique yarns in rich, seasonal colors. Originally hand-knit using fragments of leftover yarn, which inspired creativity in design and color scheme.

Issue No.2: Sweaters with a Story

24 Pins
The Polo Gazette is an immersive chronicle—and newsletter—designed to take you into the extraordinary world of ideas and interests that inspire Polo’s vision of timeless style. This edition focuses on the fall collection of Polo Originals – which features our iconic silver-and-blue label – and the vision it imagines: the early days of Grand Prix racing. From this comes a look in which the workwear of the track and the tweeds and ties of country life create a new mix of both tough and refined.
The art-and eternal now-of putting two surprisingly unexpected things together roars to life in this fall’s collection of Polo Originals, inspired by the golden era of Grand Prix car racing.
The art – and eternal now – of putting two surprisingly unexpected things together roars to life in the new Polo Originals collection. The combination of an oilcloth jacket with a Fair Isle scarf, tweed sweater vest, and tie embodies a rugged yet sophisticated style.
