Christmas of ’72 marked the opening of The Bookmark Bookstore in Olde Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. It was a great time for the publishing industry; wonderful author tours with the likes of Smallwood, Berton, Lesveque, Chretien,  and Howe.  Canadiana was at its best.    In 1989 they opened another store on Spring Garden Road in Halifax. New and better looking faces now manage Bookmark as two separate stores but joined at the hip.
