Eat a healthy snack at night! But how do you do that when 9 o'clock comes & you're hungry? Prepare your snack earlier in the evening when you're thinking straight & that bag of chips isn't whispering in your ear! I had a lovely fruit tray with chocolate dip arrive at my house. It was delicious but I think my creation with the leftovers & a few additions from my fridge looks much better. I did prepare this early in the evening & I did enjoy a small bowl before bed A lot of us struggle…
Difficulty getting up off the floor? Years and years of taking care of others leaves us with very little time to take care of ourselves. As we get a little older we see the effects of this when we realize that we're not as flexible or as strong as we used to be. We love the heat, the sun and everything that the summer weather brings with it. Beat the heat, don't let the heat beat you down so you don't get your workout in. I think we need to take advantage of the short summer season and change our workouts a little and ..... take them outside. Whether it be walking, biking or simply bringing your exercise mat outside, there are a number of things we can do to make our workout pleasant outside!!!
Exercising in the pool is a great way to beat the heat of the summer yet get in a great workout while enjoying the beautiful summer weather. Pool Exercises: 1. Abs, shoulders & legs: Bicycle in the pool. Rest elbows on the edge of your pool or a pool noodle. 2. Arms & Shoulders: Use your pool noodles as your weight. Keeping the noodle under water, simply do your staandard bicep curl, cross curl and tricep press. 3. Entire Body: Swim. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!!! 4. Legs…
Procrastination is your enemy. Don't think that EVERYTHING has to be in order before you get your workout it. I know that if I do the laundry, dusting, etc and think I'm going to do my workout after that I'm usually fooling myself. How about you? My own workout includes approx. 60 reps of various bicep then 60 reps of various tricep exercises. Bouncing on my exercise ball throughout to some of my favorite music. I finish it off with some elbow to knee ab curls and relaxation stretches!
