ARCHIBALD HISTORICAL MUSEUM is located 6.4 km west of Manitou on Hwy #3 and 6.4 km north. Guided tours show you through 3 fully furnished homes (2 of which were once occupied by famous author and activist, Nellie McClung, the LaRiviere CPR Station (Provincial Historic Site), a church, and 3-story barn jammed to the rafters with artifacts from days gone by. The Historical Museum is privately owned & operated May-September, noon- 8 p.m. Closed Wednesday & Thursday. Call 204-242-2235.
