Red and Blue Chair designed by Gerrit Rietveld in 1917. De Stijl, Dutch for "The Style", also called neoplasticism, is a Dutch artistic movement which founded in 1917 in Amsterdam.  The De Stijl simplified visual compositions to vertical and horizontal, using only black, white and primary colours. This design of the chair has exactly style with De Stijl which only used red, blue and black.  Also simplify is a characteristic of De Stijl that shows on this design.
