Toronto's current city hall opened in 1965, after four years of construction which began in 1961. It was built to replace the old City Hall that was built in 1899. Located at Nathan Phillips Square at 100 Queen Street West, the "new" City Hall is a Toronto landmark, and one of the city's most photographed buildings. In this view, you can see the west tower on the left, and the mostly obscured convex side of the east tower on the right.
