PROBABILITY AND PROBLEM SOLVING. Children describe event as likely or less likely and create the probability examples. Children reflect on the process of mathematical problem solving. I would provide a real jar and color marbles.
Probability -Anchor chart we use in my class to refer to the language, fractions, and decimals that describe the likelihood of an event. Helps so much to see it all together and gets all the kids using the same language and we just keep adding to it!
I love having kids sort things; they discover examples and nonexamples. Not only do they work somewhat kinesthetically, they have to read the sentences (visual) and they usually read them out loud (audial).
