Meal Planning: Save Money & Food
Jenn's been an on and off meal planner for years, but in 2019 she buckled down because it's a great way to reduce food waste and grocery costs. When you think about it: the less food that ends up in the green bin (or worse - the garbage!!) means more money you'll save in the long run!
Say No To Food Waste Spotlight
It's the holiday season! Bouncing from one family dinner to another party or event, there's potential for lots of food waste. That's why Fidan is focusing the spotlight on Say No To Food Waste, an organization that's being proactive in the battle against food waste.

Gift Experiences, Not Things
Christmas can be a tough time of year. Gifts can be expensive, and there is also a lot of unnecessary waste. All the wrapping, boxes, bows, plastic and tissue paper all end up somewhere, and that is usually in the trash. One way to eliminate all the waste is to give someone the gift of an experience, like our ambassador Jenn has for the first day of Low Wastemas.
What do your gifts say about your values?
The holidays are a time for spreading love, not waste. Throughout the month of December, we’ll focus on navigating the holidays low waste style because gifts can say a lot about who you are and what you value. Alexa is intentional in her gift-giving, putting emphasis on thrifting, regifting and making gifts herself, or giving experiences.
