Got it all laid out and ready to sew. I kept the skirt and top separate as it would be way easier for my lil miss to get it on and off. I sewed in a couple strips of elastic band onto various spots on the waistband so that the skirt would stay on, but i after sewing the WHOLE waistband with elastic banding, it was too tight!

Oh yeah, i sewed on the same light colour ribbon from the skirt onto the bottom of the shirt...i laid out the sleeves to see how it would match up and had to cut a bit more off the shirt sleeve hole. also had to cut the neckline but lil miss didn't want the ribbon on the neckline. At this point, i ran to my friends house to ask how i attach the sleeves...lol

I purchased some Fabric Pens and once the ribbon was all sewn onto the sheet, i went back onto every OTHER ribbon and drew the design onto the ribbon as per a helpful COSPLAY website i found with the pattern on it!
