IDS is the Interior Design Show held at the Toronto Convention Center Jan. The Interior Design Show is Canada’s largest contemporary design fair. Since the doors first opened in 1999, IDS has been visited by over 500,000 design professionals, design savvy consumers and media; it has served as a design industry hub providing a unique and unrivalled business opportunity for thousands of design- forward businesses. Each year world-renown designers and architects participate as keynote speakers and create inspiring feature exhibits. Located in the city of Toronto, Canada’s economic engine, IDS provides an annual catalyst for millions of dollars spent on design; and has helped significantly to place Toronto on the design map.

Easy rough-in with many choices for buyer or designer.

I met Infinity Drain at IDS12. Infinity Drain was showing many different types of their shower drain concepts. With Infinity Drains there are no more UGLY drains. http://www.terrybabij.com/blog/2012/02/20/beautiful-drains/

Infinity Drain was showing many different types of their shower drain concepts. With Infinity Drains there are no more UGLY drains. Some of the Infinity Drain units can incorporate tile, stone or solid surface material, up to ¾” thick, to create a virtually seamless installation. Here are 2 images of the TD/TDB15 drain unit for a centrally placed drain with 4 slopes, I captured at the show: http://www.terrybabij.com/blog/2012/02/20/beautiful-drains/

John Schweighardt of Living Stone was showing his Sinks and Bowls carved from locally quarried stone. He has created and was showing some wonderful basins. John had a White Marble and Amazonite sink that was stunning. The shell shaped bowl was not drilled as a sink yet. John said it can be made into a sink and cannot be unmade. Someone may want this as a bowl. Here is a link to John’s web site and his image of the Great Big Sea Each vessel was truly unique and one of a kind pieces of art.
