Built roughly around 1660, Basilica of the Holy Rosary, commonly known as Bandel Church, is one of the oldest of its kind in West Bengal, India. The church is dedicated to Nossa Senhora do Rosário, Our Lady of the Rosary. The trip would be only half-complete if we left without visiting another famous Landmark of this region, one which is only a few minutes’ from Bandel Church – the Hooghly Imambara.

There is peace after all. even after it is after you have stopped living - The Church's backyard is a cemetery where many lie peacefully.

This is how Howrah Bridge looks at 9 a.m. It’s not as much a historical landmark as it is a prominent intersection for thousands of commuters travelling to and from Kolkata. But, it’s still spectacular isn’t it?
